Is there a place for Valencia?
Great win. BFS has a nice selection headache now.

The question now, with AC playing so well, is this: is there a place for Valencia?

Looks like Carroll and Sakho looks the best partnership with Downing behind

Downing plays Nolans role with Valencia or Sakho in the role Downing was in.

Carroll & Sakho must be the first option up front...

But must vary approach build up...relying too much on hoofs to Carroll limits effectiveness...

Yeah when Carroll gets injured next week

I'm pretty happy with any combination of those three. We look dangerous whichever pairing plays. Long time since we've had that. I cant remember us having three quality strikers at the club ever.

Yes.

And I don't mean Spain.

We've got three genuinely class strikers in Carroll, Valencia and Sakho. Let's not forget how well Valencia and Sakho were doing when Carroll was out and being written off.

They will all lose form during this season and that's when we can rotate them. For me it's Sakho with another right now. He's the key.

Yes, but from the bench.

Wise words from Mr Angry there

We need them to integrate further as the season unfolds to have fluidity to circumstance - looks hugely promising

And dont forget Zarate, he has a part to play in this too. A different option and switch of style. Few attacking forces that I would swap for ours.

In fact thinking as I type, which club's front four are better?

I still prefer valencia and sakho. Carroll on bench to make an impact

Probably only both Mancs and Chelsea at the moment.

I agree with that

Bloody frightening mate when you consider where we were a year ago

Its the most bizarre turnaround I've seen. We've had our fair share of bizarre shit, but this is up there.

We've been long overdue some entertainment, this season appears to be the payoff.

I'm still keeping grounded, I know this is likely to go tits up at some point but I'm fucking loving it. Might have to think about ending my self imposed 'Allardyce exile' at this rate.

FFS, dont get unvexed and chilled - the world will cease spinning

Seriously, I know. I was also a huge critic of signing Downing too

Has the turnaround of 85/6 with similar shock signings about it - if only it has the same end......

Players get injured. Players need rests. Different players are needed for different matches. Substitutes also play a key role.

Of course there's a fucking place for Valencia! He's a quality player!

The three main strikers met each other today for the first time, I 'm looking to see the relationship blossom still further.!!

What I like about us right now is that we can, almost at will, switch from one style of play to another. Quite unique really. Opposing managers probaly don't even know how we are going to set up.
